Direct Black EX mainly used for dyeing cellulose fiber fabrics such as cotton, linen, and viscose, and can also be used for dyeing silk, nylon, and their blended fabrics. It can also be used for dyeing leather, biology, and wood, as well as coloring plastics.

What Is Direct Black EX

Direct Black EX is black powder. Soluble in water with a green light black color, soluble in ethanol with a green light blue black color, soluble in fibrinogen, insoluble in other organic solvents. When exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, Direct Black EX turns dark red and blue, and after dilution, it produces a purple sauce color to a red and black precipitate; When encountering concentrated nitric acid, it turns into a yellow brown solution; When exposed to concentrated hydrochloric acid, Direct Black EX appears dark red and black in color. When the dye water bath encounters concentrated hydrochloric acid, it forms a purple brown precipitate, and when it encounters concentrated sodium hydroxide solution, it forms a light blue precipitate.
