Application of Direct Orange S

Direct Orange S dyeing cotton or viscose results in a reddish orange color, poor transfer ability, and sensitivity to salt. It is advisable to slowly raise the temperature and add salt in batches during dyeing to control the dyeing rate. In the later stage of dyeing, the temperature naturally drops to 60 ℃ to facilitate the absorption of the dye. Dyeing rich fibers has a good dyeing rate and a slightly yellowish color compared to dyeing cotton. Can be used for direct printing on cotton or viscose. Often used in combination with colors such as yellow, red, gray, brown, etc., to regulate color light and increase chromatography. It can also be used for dyeing silk, wool, vinylon, and nylon fabrics, as well as for dyeing pulp. When used for dyeing cellulose fibers, the affinity is highest at 60-80 ℃, making it suitable for neutral and weakly alkaline dyeing.

What is Direct Orange S

Direct Orange S is orange powder. Dissolved in water, it turns red orange brown with a solubility of 10g/L at 80 ℃. Slightly soluble in ethanol, it turns golden orange. It turns bright red when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, and after dilution, there is a red orange to red precipitate. Direct Orange S aqueous solution with concentrated sodium hydroxide turns orange brown; Add 10% sodium hydroxide solution to slightly turn yellow; Adding concentrated hydrochloric acid results in a red precipitate, while adding 10% sulfuric acid slightly turns red. Direct Orange S sensitive to hard water.
