Application of Direct Yellow R

Direct Yellow R dye cotton or viscose to a bright reddish yellow color. Poor staining and migration properties. In the later stage of dyeing, the temperature naturally drops to 60 ℃ to facilitate the absorption of the dye. Generally not used for printing. Avoid contact with copper and iron during dyeing. Most of them are used for dyeing paper, cotton knitwear, woolen blankets, velvet fabrics, etc., and rarely for dyeing cotton fabrics. They are also suitable for dyeing viscose silk and silk interwoven fabrics.

Storage & Transportationy: it must be stored dry & cool warehouse. Avoid to be contacted with oxidizing chemicals and combustible organic substances. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks and open flames. Carefully handle the product and avoid damaging the package.

What Is Direct Yellow R

Direct Yellow R is deep yellow powder. Soluble in water with a reddish yellow color, slightly soluble in fibrinogen, insoluble in other organic solvents. Direct Yellow R appears dark red in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns dark yellow after dilution (sometimes with brown precipitates); Partially dissolved in concentrated hydrochloric acid and appearing black; Partially dissolved in concentrated nitric acid, it turns yellow brown to olive colored. Add 10% sulfuric acid to its aqueous solution to slightly darken it; Concentrated hydrochloric acid turns olive yellow; Concentrated sodium hydroxide solution forms a golden orange precipitate. When encountering copper colored light, it turns green, slightly red and dark when encountering iron colored light, and turns light yellow and orange when encountering zinc and ammonia. Direct Yellow R has a strong photosensitive brittleness effect.
